
Biography:
Finley Davila is an artist from Pennsylvania currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. They are attending Savannah College of Art and Design as an undergraduate, studying to get their BFA in Sculpture. During the summer, they focus on reconnecting with nature and their working part-time job. Finley is currently exploring the use of molten metal through bronze pouring techniques and heated manipulation. They enjoy exploring themes of overcoming challenges and life’s hardships.

Artist’s Statement:
Finley is a sculpture artist whose work focuses on process. They experiment with form, weight, and material as a way of pushing their creative boundaries. By playing with many different mediums, they explore material limitations. In doing this they embrace perceived failure and hurdles, evolving their ideas as they work toward an ever-changing goal. Finley uses these pieces to approach a variety of topics revolving around processing life’s curveballs as a way to connect with their community over the human experience.
